Anuja D. Thatte

Anuja Thatte is a litigator with an emphasis on public interest law and commercial litigation. At Dontzin Nagy & Fleissig, she spends a significant amount of her time on pro bono matters — including in the areas of civil rights, immigration, and environmental justice — as part of the firm’s commitment to public interest work.

A graduate of Stanford Law School, Anuja joined the firm in 2017. She previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Shira A. Scheindlin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Anuja also worked as an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell, where her practice included representations of financial institutions in civil and criminal investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice, Commodities Futures Trading Commission, and other regulatory authorities; a successful copyright trial on behalf of a medical device manufacturer; and pro bono criminal defense, death penalty, housing, and immigration cases.
