In July 2020 the Supreme Court of the UK ruled in favor of DNF client Jamie Cooper in her longstanding dispute with Sir Christopher Hohn over a $360 million charitable grant. Cooper has long sought to have these funds moved from the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, which she founded with Hohn, to a similar charity she launched called Big Win Philanthropy. After Cooper prevailed in the High Court, the Court of Appeal blocked the money, but Cooper appealed, and the Supreme Court gave her a complete victory.
